The Farmers Cup volleyball 2024 competition finished last Wednesday with a prize-giving ceremony at Aitolo village in Central Kwara’ae, Malaita Province.
The event celebrated the hard work of all the teams.
Ladoa Black won the first prize, taking home a trophy, gold medals, and $800 cash. Raven came second, winning a trophy, silver medals, and $600 cash.
Ladoa Blue got third place, winning a trophy, bronze medals, and $400 cash. Green Land was awarded $300.
Wilfred Abi, the chairperson of the committee, thanked all the teams and everyone who supported the competition.
He especially thanked Our Telekom, the main sponsor, for providing the trophies, medals, and prizes.
He also thanked Sanga and family for sponsoring the cash prizes.
The Farmers Cup aims to promote both sports and farming.
This will now be a yearly event for the sports men and women of Busuarata area.
